FLL and FLL Jr.

FIRST Lego League Team Omega EV3 is the first FLL team that was started in our school district. With help from Alpha+, middle school science teacher, Jaak Sanders, started the team in 2014. In the first year, the team went to the state competition in Moscow. Since then, they have gone three more times. Most recently, they went to the state competition on January 26, 2019. The team is now run by middle school science teacher, Jake Garrison.

FIRST Lego League Team Omega NXT is the second team that was started in Boundary County. This team was started in 2015, and they are also based in our middle school. They went to state in 2018. Less experienced students start on this team and then move on to Omega EV3. This team is also run by Jake Garrison.

Beta EV3 is another FLL team that was started in 2018 and resides at Valley View Elementary School. This is the third FLL team to start in our school district and is currently our youngest. Beta EV3 went to state on January 26, 2019, in their rookie year. This team was started by Connie Perez and Drea Leach.

Beta WeDo2 is the first FLL Jr. team started in our school district and is also based in Valley View Elementary School. This team was started by Julie Holly, in 2018. Although they didn’t actually compete, the team was selected in a lottery to go to the World Championship in Houston, Texas, in April 2019.
